Driver’s License for Car (Category B)
When can you get your driver’s license
Here you can see a brief overview of the rules that must be met for you to obtain a driver’s license. You must:
Have residence in Denmark.
Have a medical certificate documenting that you are fit to drive.
Have completed an 8-hour traffic-related first aid course.
Be at least 17 years old – however, you can start the lessons 3 months before your 17th birthday.
For those who are not yet 18 years old
Many young people are eager to get started with their driver’s license as soon as possible, and Skovlunde Driving School is more than happy to help you with that. There are many things to keep track of when obtaining a driver’s license. If you are under 18, the forms listed below are important to use. You can also get them at the driving school.

As of July 1, 2025, new rules apply for those who have not yet turned 18.
Until you turn 18, you must have an adult (a companion) by your side between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM. At all other times, you are allowed to drive alone.

What are the requirements
Mandatory training package
In the Danish Driver’s License Regulation, a set of minimum requirements has been established for obtaining a driver’s license. This means that you must complete at least:
29 theory lessons – spread over 9 days at Skovlunde Driving School
4 lessons on the maneuvering track
16 on-road driving lessons
4 lessons on the driving technique track (slippery track)

Skovlunde Driving School does not charge any extra fees for splitting the payment into two installments.
Are you coming from another driving school?
You are, of course, very welcome at Skovlunde Driving School if you have already started at another school and wish to complete your course with us. This could be, for example, if you’ve moved to the area or were not satisfied with your previous school. We’ll make sure to help you reach your goal of getting your driver’s license.
It’s important that you bring your lesson plan and your driver’s license application form.
We don’t charge any fees for transferring to us — you’ll only pay for the remaining lessons or services you still need, based on our standard price list.
